Asada Tacos
Hot griddle, charred edges, plenty of meat. The reason regulars keep coming back.
A small weekday taquería on East Pine doing the basics very, very well — asada with a real sear, carnitas that drip, and a breakfast burrito locals keep quiet about.
If it's your first time, customers keep coming back for these four. Trust them.

Juicy, generous, and packed in. Even mixed reviews single this one out as straight-up bomb.
Tortilla so fresh it smells homemade. Wrapped tight, no skimping.
Recommended right alongside the asada. Bold, smoky, fully spiced.
Loaded, hand-rolled, and ready before the rest of the block is even open.
Cold, creamy, exactly as cinnamon-forward as it should be. Get one.
Peña's Taquería #2 is the kind of place Lodi locals quietly tell each other about. Tucked on East Pine just off the freeway, the kitchen opens at 7 in the morning and runs straight through lunch — breakfast burritos sliding out the window before some restaurants have even unlocked the door.
The point isn't fancy. It's a charred asada taco, a carnitas that actually drips a little, a tortilla so fresh it smells like it was pressed five minutes ago. We do that, every weekday, and we go home.
Closed Saturday and Sunday. Catch us Monday through Friday.
Counter seating, friendly room, good for groups and kids.
Call ahead — we'll have it bagged when you pull up.

Lodi has some amazing selection when it comes to tacos and food in general. Peña's has probably the best asada tacos I've ever had of recent. I'm happy that we locals have choices.
Seriously best burrito I have ever had or tasted — the tortilla smells just so fresh I almost think it was homemade. I got Horchata and it was the best drink also. Super hidden gem! You can tell they really take pride in their food.
One of the best tacos in Lodi. I highly recommend the asada and chorizo tacos. The breakfast burritos are delicious too.
